About Me

Hi, I’m Devon. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I specialize in helping individuals navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationships. I understand how challenging it can be to feel stuck or overwhelmed, especially when the pressure to have everything figured out seems constant. I work with young adults and adult males who are facing these challenges, helping them find clarity and connection in the midst of feeling disconnected from themselves or their relationships.

My approach is grounded in a belief that it’s okay not to have all the answers right away. Life can be tough, and we all face moments where we feel lost or unsure. Whether you’re struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, or simply finding it hard to move forward, I’m here to support you in a way that feels authentic and compassionate.

I have advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR to help individuals address both the internal and external factors that can be holding them back. IFS is a great tool for understanding the different parts of yourself that might be in conflict, especially when you’re not sure why you’re feeling disconnected or stuck. Together, we can explore the “parts” of you that feel overwhelmed or burdened and work toward healing and integration.

EMDR can be particularly effective for processing trauma and deep-seated emotions that are contributing to your anxiety and depression. If you’ve ever felt like you just can’t shake the past or that certain memories or emotions keep coming up in ways you can’t control, EMDR can help you release the emotional charge attached to those experiences, allowing you to move forward with more freedom.

I’m also experienced in supporting individuals through the challenges of substance use disorders. Whether you’re dealing with an addiction to alcohol, drugs, or other substances, therapy can help you break the cycle and find healthier ways to cope with life’s stressors. We’ll work together to identify underlying issues that may be driving the behavior, set achievable goals for your recovery, and develop a plan that supports your healing journey.

Why I’m Passionate About This Work:  I’ve always been passionate about working with men who feel isolated in their emotional struggles. Society often places unrealistic expectations on men to “have it all figured out” and “deal with things on their own.” I know that, for many men, reaching out for help can feel like a daunting step. But I truly believe that seeking support is not only a sign of strength but a step toward reclaiming your mental health and well-being. No matter where you are on your journey, I’m here to help you build a life where you can feel more grounded, confident, and connected with yourself.

In our sessions, you’ll find a space that’s safe, non-judgmental, and confidential. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I want you to feel heard and understood, without the pressure to “snap out of it” or just push through. Together, we’ll work to unpack the experiences and feelings that are getting in the way of your mental health and find tools to help you build a more connected and empowered life.
