Charles D. Mandell
Charles D. Mandell, LMFT, EMDR, and EFT trained
I specialize in helping adult men who feel blocked by self-doubt, uncertainty, and negative patterns of behavior to find peace, confidence, and purpose in their lives and relationships.
I am an LMFT in Denver and virtually where I guide clients in a transformative process that strengthens relationships, heals conflict and old wounds and deepens growth and connection so that enables them to enjoy happier and more fulfilling lives.
My Work as an LMFT in Denver
I have trained in a number of therapeutic models, including Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), both of which provide frameworks for targeting past traumas to reduce distress and change negative behavior patterns. My work also draws from extensive training in the mindfulness-based, somatic, and attachment-based therapies that are among the most effective approaches in the field of mental health.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent two years co-facilitating creative-expression groups for incarcerated youth in San Francisco’s juvenile hall and created a program teaching mindfulness and wellness to high school students. I also served for a year and a half as a secular chaplain to patients at San Francisco General Hospital. In 2018, I earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University in San Rafael, California. Since 2017, I have worked as a psychotherapist, and received my professional training and supervision through the Community Institute for Psychotherapy in San Rafael, and at the San Francisco Marriage and Couples Center in San Francisco.
